Model T

Henry Ford’s Ford Motor Company revolutionized the car production by introducing the first affordable automobile, Model T. Model T was the first model made by assembly line in which interchangeable part of the car was made in a sequential manner to create a finished product. Such an efficient production greatly reduced the time to produce each car as well as the cost of the car. He was able to produce an automobile that was within the economic reach of the average American. The first production Model T was built on Septmber 27, 1908, at the Piquette Plant in Detroit, Michigan. However, customers started to count styling and excitement and the Model T sales plummeted. Ford finally replaced his beloved model, Model T, by Model A. Despite this change, the Ford Model T is still considered as the most influential car of the twentieth century.
