Sony
A Japanese corporation, Sony is one of the largest electronic companies in the world. It manufactures a wide assortment of electronic goods like televisions, video games, communication devices, and other technology products. It also is involved in the entertainment industry, having music and movie arms. Sony was founded in 1946 in Tokyo by Masura Ibuka, an electronics designer. It initially began as a radio repair shop, but soon it expanded out into a larger range of industries. Some of Sony's more famous products are its transistor radio (introduced in the '60s), video camcorder (introduced in the '80s), and PlayStation video game consoles (introduced in 1994).
